Right now, nobody is slowing down Marquez Walters or Alex Fiechtner.

NPL QLD’s two most devastating forwards were at it again in Round 11 as the title race continued to heat up.

League leaders Moreton City Excelsior survived a chaotic seven-goal thriller against Olympic FC, edging out a dramatic 4-3 victory.

And once again, Walters was everywhere.

The electric forward struck twice to continue his remarkable campaign, taking his tally to 14 goals for the season as Moreton stayed top of the table.

But Lions FC are refusing to let them pull away.

Just two points behind in second place, Lions comfortably dispatched Brisbane Roar B 3-1 thanks to another ruthless display from Alex Fiechtner.

The runaway Golden Boot leader and Player of the Year favourite scored twice again to move to a staggering 18 goals for the season.

His overall numbers are becoming ridiculous too.

Since arriving at Lions FC in 2021, Fiechtner has scored 107 goals in just 125 matches; the latest chapter in a dominant Queensland football legacy.

Elsewhere, Rhys Messina and Joshua Woolley were on target as Peninsula Power defeated Gold Coast Knights 2-0.

Wynnum Wolves’ clash with Eastern Suburbs was postponed, along with Rochedale Rovers v Magic United and Brisbane City v Gold Coast United.
