Fremantle City have pulled off a coup in NPL WA, signing former A-League star Josh Risdon.

Risdon called time on his professional career at the end of the 2025-26 A-League season, having made appearances across three clubs – Perth Glory, Western Sydney Wanderers and Western United.

The 33-year-old full-back won a Championship with Western United, where he wore the captain’s armband in Tarneit.

Now focusing on life as a teacher, the ex-Socceroo has linked up with Fremantle City in Western Australia’s top tier.

Fremantle are eighth through eight rounds and they are coached by two-time Australia international Scott Miller.
