Coach steps down 12 matches into 2026 season

Kingston City are on the look out for a new head coach following the resignation of Slav Lujic.
Lujic, along with his coaching staff, stepped down after Friday night’s 4-0 rout at the hands of fellow VPL2 rivals Eastern Lions in Victoria’s third tier.
He departs just 12 matches into his tenure, with relegation-threatened Kingston City second from bottom having collected 13 points.
Lujic had replaced Con Tangalakis, who resigned after five years at the end of 2025.
“The club sincerely thanks Slav and his team for their commitment, professionalism, and efforts during their time at Kingston City FC, and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours,” a statement read.
“The club will now commence the process of appointing a new Senior Men’s Head Coach, with further updates to be provided in due course.”
Kingston host Werribee City on Friday, May 22.
