FK Beograd have pulled off a major signing ahead of the 2027 NPL South Australia season, securing the return of former A-League star Nikola Mileusnic in a homecoming more than a decade in the making.
The 33-year-old winger is heading back to the club where his football journey began, bringing a wealth of experience from Australian football's top flight and a successful stint in Europe.
Mileusnic arrives with three major cup triumphs on his CV, having won the Australia Cup twice with Adelaide United before adding the Danish Cup during his time with Randers FC.
His career has also taken him to Brisbane Roar, Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix, giving Beograd a player with extensive experience at the professional level.
But this move carries significance beyond his achievements on the pitch.
For Mileusnic, it represents a return to his football roots, with Beograd welcoming back a player who began his journey at the club before going on to establish himself in the professional game.
The signing is a major statement of intent from the South Australian outfit as they prepare for another NPL campaign, adding proven quality and experience to their attacking ranks.
D’Aloia has since departed following his three-year tenure.
