A three-year chapter is over. Eastern Suburbs have lost a key figure

Eastern Suburbs are facing a significant change to their football program after Redha Alrikabi stepped away from his roles at the NPL Queensland club for personal reasons.

The club confirmed Alrikabi's decision took effect immediately, bringing an end to a three-year spell in which he became an influential figure across Eastern Suburbs' Community, Academy and Senior Men's programs.

His contribution extended beyond the senior team, who are fifth through 17 rounds in NPL QLD.

Alrikabi played a key role in developing the club's football culture and player pathway, working across multiple levels of Eastern Suburbs while driving higher standards and helping shape the environment around the club.

Eastern Suburbs credited him with encouraging players to train with purpose, embrace high standards and represent the club with pride.

"Over the past three seasons, Redha has played an integral role in the continued growth and development of ESFC across our Community, Academy and Senior Men's programs," the club said.

"His passion for the club, commitment to developing players and dedication to excellence have been evident in everything he has done."

Eastern Suburbs have not yet announced what the departure means for their coaching structure moving forward.

While Alrikabi's time at Eastern Suburbs has come to an end, the club made clear his connection with ESFC remains.

"His passion, love and commitment to the club have left a lasting mark," Eastern Suburbs said.
