Ten rounds into the NPL Tasmania season, South Hobart remain exactly where everyone expected them to be.
On top.
The defending champions continued their unbeaten start to the campaign with a 4-1 victory over Launceston United, preserving their slender advantage at the summit.
Kobe Kemp, Rex Maddock, Elijah Swan and Alex Walter were all on target as South Hobart recorded a ninth win from 10 matches.
The numbers behind their start are as impressive as the results: Nine victories, one draw, 42 goals scored and just eight conceded.
Yet for all their dominance, there is little room for error.
Devonport City Strikers remain firmly in the hunt after a dramatic 1-0 victory over Ulverstone.
With the contest seemingly heading towards a draw, Lachlan Vanneutegem struck in the 92nd minute to keep Devonport within a single point of top spot and ensure the pressure remains squarely on the league leaders.
Kingborough Lions United also stayed within striking distance.
A 3-0 victory away to Riverside Olympic kept them four points behind South Hobart and strengthened their position inside the top three.
Elsewhere, Ryan Lynch scored twice in the space of 20 first-half minutes as Clarence Zebras defeated South East United 2-1.
Launceston City rounded out the weekend's action with a 2-1 victory over Glenorchy Knights in a result that keeps them firmly in the finals conversation.
