Bayswater City have added professional pedigree and a famous Australian football surname to their Australian Championship squad, securing the signatures of Aidan Coyne and Joel Anasmo.
Coyne, the son of former Socceroo Chris Coyne and grandson of ex-Australia international John Coyne, arrives with experience in Australia and England, having spent time with Perth Glory and Watford.
The versatile defender has followed his father's footsteps into football, with his latest move bringing him to one of Western Australia's leading state-league clubs ahead of the national competition.

He is joined by former Perth Glory attacker Anasmo, who made 23 senior A-League appearances and brings pace, energy and attacking quality to Matt Sparrow's squad while also spending a stint at South Korean giants Jeonbuk.
For NPL WA outfit Bayswater, the pair offer different qualities as the club prepares to test itself against some of Australia's strongest NPL opposition.
“Aidan is a versatile player who can operate in a number of positions, which gives us some really good options across the pitch,” Sparrow said.
“He brings experience, quality and a strong mentality to the group, and we're pleased to have him on board for the Championship.”
Sparrow is equally excited by what Anasmo can offer in the final third.
“Joel is an exciting attacking player who gives us something a little different going forward,” he said.
“He's got good ability, plenty of energy and isn't afraid to take players on. We're looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team throughout the Championship.”

Bayswater City will now turn their attention to the Australian Championship, where they will look to carry their domestic success onto the national stage against some of the country's leading state-league clubs.
Bayswater have been drawn alongside NSW heavyweights Marconi Stallions and Sydney Olympic, as well as reigning NPL Victoria premiers Oakleigh Cannons, in Group C of the Australian Championship.
Sparrow's side will open their campaign against Marconi at Frank Drago Reserve on Saturday, October 17, before travelling to face Sydney Olympic on October 25 and hosting Oakleigh on November 1. The top two teams in the group will progress to the quarter-finals.
