Hume City have strengthened their push for a maiden NPL Victoria title, luring English attacker Max Wright to the championship contenders.
The experienced forward arrives in Broadmeadows from National League side FC Halifax Town, bringing with him more than a decade of experience in the English professional system.
It is a significant addition for a Hume side firmly in the hunt for silverware.

Born in Grimsby, Wright spent his entire youth career with Grimsby Town before signing professional terms at just 17 years old.
Loan spells followed at Sutton Coldfield Town, Scarborough Athletic and Boston United, with the attacker particularly impressing at Scarborough, where he scored 15 goals in a prolific campaign.
His performances earned him another opportunity at Grimsby, where he went on to make 44 appearances after making his English Football League debut in 2019.
Wright later joined Harrogate Town before moving to FC Halifax Town, where he remained until deciding it was time for a new challenge.
After more than a decade in English football, Australia became the destination.
"I think after a decade in England, it felt right for a change," Wright said. "Doing 10 years at the same thing becomes a bit samey.
"So I thought I'd change it up and test the waters a little bit. And I don't think I could have gone any further away."

The 28-year-old arrives at a pivotal moment in Hume's season.
With nine matches remaining in the regular campaign, Hume remain firmly in the race for what would be their first NPL Victoria championship.
Wright believes the objective is simple.
"We all want to play well, but the only objective of football is to win," he said. “Whether I'm on the bench, starting or not in the squad, the only objective is to win the game."
For head coach Nick Hegarty, the signing adds another layer to a squad already enjoying one of the strongest campaigns in the club's history.
"Max is a fantastic addition to our squad as we enter the last nine games," Hegarty said.
"His quality is matched by his relentless work ethic and energy."
Hume City are second in the NPL VIC table after 17 rounds, one point behind leaders Oakleigh Cannons.
