Round 5 of NPL Capital delivered goals across the board, headlined by Monaro Panthers’ emphatic 6-1 statement over Canberra Olympic.

Mikey Katsoulis and Jonathan Olaoye both bagged braces in a ruthless display at Stryda Park, as Monaro maintained their perfect start to the season; three wins from three.

League leaders Canberra Croatia continued to set the pace, edging Tigers FC 2-1 to make it four wins from five and remain the benchmark in the early stages.

Elsewhere, Queanbeyan City produced a strong 4-1 win over Belconnen United, while Tuggeranong United impressed on the road with a 4-2 victory against Canberra White Eagles.

O’Connor Knights also secured a narrow 2-1 result over Brindabella Blues in one of the tighter contests of the round.

It was a weekend defined by attacking output, with 29 goals across five matches as the competition begins to take shape - Croatia leading the way, and Monaro looming with a perfect record.
