Broadmeadow Magic delivered the perfect response to last week's setback, dismantling Weston Bears 5-1 to reaffirm their Premiership credentials in Round 17 of NPL NNNSW.
Following defeat to Belmont Swansea United, the defending champions produced a ruthless second-half display at Magic Park to remind the competition they remain firmly in the title hunt.
James Cresnar gave Magic the lead before Brock Beveridge equalised for the Bears just before half-time. But after the break, the hosts took complete control.

Golden Boot contender Luis Lara Delgado struck twice in six minutes before substitute Bailey Wells climbed off the bench to bag a late brace and complete an emphatic 5-1 victory.
Belmont Swansea United ensured the pressure remained on with a clinical 3-1 victory over Charlestown Azzurri.
Golden Boot leader Marco Gueli was the star, scoring a first-half hat-trick as BelSwans bounced back from last week's defeat to keep pace with the leaders and open a five-point gap to the chasing pack.
Edgeworth Eagles produced one of the comebacks of the season, overturning a two-goal deficit to snatch a dramatic 3-2 victory over Adamstown Rosebud.
Trailing 2-0 after just 15 minutes, the Eagles clawed their way back before Jayden Stewardson levelled in stoppage time and Aaron Niyonkuru completed the remarkable turnaround just two minutes later.

Elsewhere, Newcastle Olympic and Cooks Hill United cancelled each other out in a hard-fought 0-0 draw that did little to help either side's ambitions. The result extended Cooks Hill's unbeaten run to three matches but left both teams frustrated.
Valentine FC also shared the points with Lambton Jaffas after Kurtis White's stunning long-range strike cancelled out Pat Bond's opener in a 1-1 draw, leaving the Jaffas four points adrift of the top five.
The scheduled clash between Kahibah FC and Maitland FC was postponed due to wet weather.
