Max Court is off to the A-League. He's the latest proof of APIA's remarkable production line

APIA Leichhardt's production line continues to deliver following Max Court’s move to A-League side Brisbane Roar.

Just weeks after seeing one of their brightest young talents earn an A-League opportunity - following Oscar Gonzalez’s transfer to reigning premiers Newcastle Jets, the NPL NSW club have farewelled another with the Roar signing Joeys star Court on a three-year scholarship contract.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder arrives in Brisbane as one of Australian football's most exciting young prospects after bursting onto the scene at APIA, where he became the club's youngest-ever first grade debutant before making history as the youngest player to feature in the Australian Championship at just 16 years and nine months.

It ends an almost 10-year association, having joined APIA via their Under-9s.

Court also starred for Australia's Joeys, scoring twice against Iraq to help secure qualification for the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup before finding the net against India as Australia sealed its first FIFA Under-17 World Cup berth since 2019.

Brisbane Roar Sporting Director James Gow said: "Max has been a player we set out to bring to Brisbane from the very start.

"He possesses unique skillsets and a determined mentality. We are really excited to see Max wear the orange jersey and look forward to him taking the next step in his career."

Court added: "Signing for Brisbane Roar is a huge moment for me and my family.
