Mitch Morton couldn't have scripted a better farewell.
The departing Tasmanian icon found the back of the net in his final appearance before joining Northcote City in Victoria's VPL1, helping unbeaten league leaders South Hobart dismantle Glenorchy Knights 6-1 in Round 13 of NPL Tasmania.
Morton's goal was a fitting way to close one chapter before embarking on another across Bass Strait, with South Hobart once again underlining why they remain the team to beat.
Austin Yost, Dawit Son, Kobe Kemp and Rex Maddock also found the scoresheet, while an own goal completed another dominant afternoon for the league leaders, who remain unbeaten through 13 rounds.
The title race, however, is far from over.
Kingborough Lions continued their outstanding form thanks to Joel Badger's dramatic 94th-minute winner, edging Devonport City Strikers 2-1 to remain four points behind South Hobart in second place.
The late strike extended Kingborough's impressive run and ensured the pressure remains firmly on the competition leaders heading into the run home.

Riverside Olympic also produced one of their best performances of the season, thrashing Ulverstone 6-0.
Matias Rodriguez starred with a brace that included a stunning strike, while Arpan Rai also bagged two goals in a ruthless attacking display.
Elsewhere, Launceston City claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over South East United, while Clarence Zebras and Launceston United shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
