Round 11 in NPL WA tightened the race at the top and handed Olympic Kingsway a needed breakthrough.
Olympic Kingsway claimed their first win under former Socceroo Richard Garcia, dismantling Sorrento FC 4-1 away from home to close within three points of the summit.
Liam Boland starred with a brace as Kingsway produced one of their most complete performances of the season under the newly appointed coach, who is in charge until the end of the campaign.

For Sorrento, the defeat marked a third straight loss after a strong stretch earlier in the year had lifted them clear of relegation danger. They now sit eighth.
The result became even more significant after leaders Perth RedStar were held to a 1-1 draw by Perth Azzurri, ending RedStar’s five-match winning streak and opening the door for the chasing pack.
Defending champions Bayswater City took full advantage.
Luke Palmateer’s late winner secured a 2-1 victory away to Stirling Macedonia, leaving Bayswater just one point behind Kingsway and firmly back in the title conversation.
Elsewhere, Western Knights and Balcatta Etna played out a tense 0-0 draw, while Armadale SC twice surrendered the lead in a frustrating 2-2 result against Dianella White Eagles.
Down the bottom half, Fremantle City edged Perth Glory 4-3 in a chaotic contest at Hilton Park, with former Socceroo Josh Risdon scoring his first goal for the club.
